Purpose

At Let Love Lead Iowa, volunteers are the heart of our mission to empower individuals transitioning from homelessness to stability. We look for compassionate, dependable, and community-minded individuals who believe in meeting people where they are — with dignity, empathy, and hope.

What we’re looking for:

We seek volunteers who:

  • Believe in our mission of helping individuals overcome barriers to housing and stability through holistic support, education, and empowerment.

  • Are dependable and professional, with good communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respect.

  • Value compassion over judgment and want to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in need.

  • Can work independently and as part of a team, supporting both staff and clients in a trauma-informed, respectful environment.

Volunteer Roles

Direct Service Volunteers

Skilled Volunteers

Offers expertise in areas such as:

  • Counseling

Community Outreach Ambassadors

  • Represent Let Love Lead Iowa at local events

  • Distribute Materials

  • Share Our Mission

Administrative Support

  • Data Entry

  • Filing

  • Communications

  • General Office Duties

Fundraising and Donation Support

  • Help with Drives

  • Community Fundraisers

  • Sponsorship Outreach

Workshop and Event Support

  • Help with Set Up

  • Registration

  • Hospitality

  • Logistics for Community Events

Commitment & Expectations

  • Attend a brief orientation and training session

  • Follow all organizational policies and confidentiality agreements
